Facial Reflexology for Better Health, Less Pain and Glowing Skin

Feb 26, 2026

Your face is a network of blood vessels, nerves and acupuncture meridians — and one of the most sensitive areas of the body.

The points in your face communicate with your brain, which in turn sends out signals of self-healing to specific parts of your body. Your brain knows what to do. Simply put, the treatment activates your body's own healing system — and it's your body that does the work.

In facial reflexology there are 257 different points in the face, all connected to different parts of the body. On top of these, there are additional "living points" that can feel tender or sensitive to touch. For the best results, it's important to treat both the mapped points and the living points. Treatments can be customised endlessly to find a specific formula for each individual concern. After a treatment, symptoms can sometimes return after a few hours — that's when it's important to repeat the treatment. When we reach 80% improvement, the treatment is considered successful. The improvement often continues gradually with self-care at home, and many issues can resolve completely. Some acute problems can disappear in 2–3 treatments. For chronic or long-term issues, the approach may look a little different.

Facial Diagnostics
Your face shows different types of imbalances — both on the skin and through specific points that may feel tender or hard. Because we're working so close to the brain, results tend to come faster compared to other forms of reflexology.

There are several techniques for reading imbalances through the face. By carefully examining the face with a facial reflexology tool, we can detect signs of previous issues, current health conditions and potential future concerns. We examine and look for points that are numb, tender, sensitive, tense or irritated — as well as temperature differences, knots and more. We also look at the shape of the face, the skin, firmness, blood vessels, skin texture, lines, skin tone, glow, scars, age spots and more. Combined knowledge from facial reflexology, Chinese medicine, Ayurveda and how the body's different systems and flows work, we can often see exactly what we need to work on. To give an example — a mark on the left side of the nose towards the cheek can indicate an imbalance in the stomach.

With the right guidance and instructions, reflexology is simple to do at home for your specific concerns. It's important not to overstimulate the points, to know which points should not be treated together, and to have intention behind every treatment for the best results.

Just like with other types of treatments, we should never only work locally where we feel pain (for example only treating the jaw when you have jaw pain). The body is a whole system — we need to look at the full picture and how each part affects the rest. In facial reflexology, we work with specific points as well as different diagrams (zones) to improve blood flow, lymph flow and organ function.

Facial Reflexology is a deeply healing and relaxing technique with Vietnamese roots. The treatment begins by preparing the nervous system and bringing you into deep relaxation. From there, specific zones and points are selected to treat your concerns.

Reflexology can also be done as a shorter sequence alongside other techniques. The method provides relief both immediately and over time.

Many concerns like hormonal imbalances, sleep issues and digestive problems often show up on our skin — and by helping the body function better, we also see better results on the skin. Combined with lifestyle changes, the results are even stronger.
